Whoa!

Our next door neighbor Mason just turned 10.  She had a few girls go on her limo birthdate with her, ice skating and lunch at the Corvette Diner.  I met up with them for lunch with my boys and they all got to ride home in the limo.  When David saw the limo that is what he said…..WHOA!  That thing could have transported Shamu someplace….. Ha-UGE!  (and as it turns out, I know the balloon guy at the diner, Scottso, a preschool dad)

       

Labor Day 2013

Here are a few shots from Labor Day.  We had a great day at Helene’s new place by the beach.  My kids are SO excited she lives right at the beach and bay (as are Owen and Madeline).  GREAT to have her close!  Guess I didn’t get pictures of everyone, but it was all the usual suspects; Helene, the Stitzers 5 (us), Stacy & Kyle (Garrett & Katie), Jim & Barbara, Karen & Mike (Owen and Madeline), Randi, Brad and Daniel as well as Roz who was out for 2 weeks.  Somehow I didn’t get any of her this trip except for the last shot.  Sorry!  Helene and Roz were crazy enough to have Joey, Rose and Madeline spend the night before along with Garrett & Katie (and parents).  (David and Owen had sports conflicts)  A full, loud house for sure.  They loved it! 

        

The Fabulous Birthday Boys

Mr. Meyers recently came to town on a quick vacation with the family.  It was right as school started, so unfortunately we weren’t able to get both families together.  We were happy to grab a beer with Eric though, and spend a little time catching up.  These guys share the same birthday.  Every year on July 24th, right at 9PM Pacific Standard Time, Andy gets ready to call or text Eric to wish themselves a happy birthday.  Andy is a firm believer his birthday starts at 9PM west coast time as that’s midnight NY time….. as does New Years, and any other important days to Andy.  Well, if you aren’t from New York…..

And when I say we spent time catching up, I mean I spent 2 hours listening to movie lines.  Great to see you Eric, I mean Meyers, I mean Pliers.  (Andy’s guys have too many names)

Are You Ready for Some Football?

Joey is doing Pop Warner flag football this year and Andy is assistant coaching.  Not so sure this will be his sport…. he’s a little wary of playing during an actual game.  I think he loves the IDEA of being on the team, but hey, he sure does look awesome in his uniform!  Skinniest boy on the team…check.  Coach, does this come in an extra EXTRA small?

To Teeth or Not to Teeth

David on the last day of school in June, and the first day a week ago sans front teeth.  At one point he had 7 wiggly teeth, but refuses to touch them pretty much until they fall out on their own.  I pulled 1, Rose pulled 1 and he literally spit another out.  3 down, 4 more to go! 

 

The Beach

We only made it to the beach once this summer.  A shame, but the summer just seemed to fly by.  It was a nice, cool and cloudy day.  Perfect beach weather, in my opinion!   I LOVE pictures of my kids at the beach.  No ones kids ever look cuter, just ask me!  (pics include neighbor Lexie)

       

First Day of School, Fall 2013

I never got around to posting shots of the last day of school…. and here it is the first day again!  This was this morning, all bright, shiney and excited for school.  That won’t last long….
