The Princess and the Rose
Rose became very close with a girl named Princess this past school year. They are sort of an odd couple…. the blonde girl who stands a full head taller than her vertically challenged, black hair buddy. They were SO looking forward to their 5th grade year, playing in band together and being on the same safety patrol squad. Well….. darn that Princess, she up and moved a few weeks before school started! Rose is missing her already. Here they are at Princess’ going away party, last day at school and various school field trips. Other peeps include her friends in no particular order; Taylor, Bethany; Jadesola, Daisy, Savannah, Alexandra, Lily and Sophia.
Au revoir Princess!
Number Nye-an, Number Nye-an
David is 9! His actual birthday was fairly uneventful as he had to spend the day at food camp. (maybe more on that another time) He did get to have a sleepover with Aiden, his best, best, best friend, so that made his day. He had a party the following weekend at Get Air trampoline park and had a great time with many more of his friends. David is just awesome. . . that just about sums him up. I sure love that boy!

Happy Birthday Dear America….
Our 4th of July night was a trip to see the fireworks at the high school. How can you take a bad picture of fireworks? Apparently I can. A good time was had by all, especially Andy, who spent the evening reading in bed. Joey 7, Rose 10 and David 8…about the be 9.

Yes, there IS another Grandpa!
My poor Dad isn’t represented here too much. We recently had lunch with Dad and Jann along with Karen and family, Greg and Echo and Dale. It was good, as always, to spend time together!

This Boy
Today David competed in the Midland Elementary spelling bee and came in second place for his grade. This kid is so fabulous, he knocks my socks off. He was so sad when he misspelled his word, (polled…he thought they said PULLED) he cried. (he was robbed….another story for another time) No pic of him at the microphone… but he was up next. Don’t it make my brown eyes blue… (ok, my blue eyes blue)
